Olivetta Black Balsamic Vinegar Fig 250ml

Olivetta’s balsamic vinegars are aged for five years in oak barrels with Grape ‘must’ added at the end to impart a naturally sweet, lingering finish. For our Fig vinegar, dried figs have been rehydrated and pressed to extract their juice which is then added to our Black Balsamic Vinegar base. This produces a vinegar with a gentle sweetness and a subtle aroma of fresh figs.

A delicious first taste of sun-ripened figs followed by the sweet acidity of black balsamic. A definite lingering flavour of fresh figs on the palate.

Use and Storage

Our vinegars are preserved in opaque packaging to protect them from light. Best kept in a cool place away from heat. Consume before the Use By Date and within 3 months of opening the bottle.

How To Use

Black Balsamic Fig Vinegar goes well with rich meats such as pork and duck. The sweetness is a lovely contrast to salty foods such as goats cheese and parma ham. Use it generously in marinades and dressings, and when reduced it can elevate a cheese board.
