Olivetta’s Delicate Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a beautiful buttery oil, gentle on the palate while still having a delayed peppery hit to indicate its high polyphenol count. It is a monovarietal oil, that has been carefully extracted mid harvest from the fruit of the Koroneiki olive tree. This cultivar produces small fruit with high-quality oil yield for a very low acidity level and ranks amongst the world’s finest olive oils.

Provenance

The olives that produced this oil were grown in the ancient olive groves of Messinia near the town of Kalamata in the Peloponnese, Southern Greece. The combination of terroir and weather conditions for this harvest have produced an oil that is more delicate in nature.

Tasting Notes

Harvested later in the season, this oil is smooth and buttery. Notably herbaceous, while maintaining green fruit undertones. It has less bitter pungency than its Robust sister. Simply delicious.

A balanced combination of fragrant aromas and elegant, complex flavours, this Delicate oil is well-suited to those who prefer a milder flavour in their olive oil. It is ideal for desserts and cakes, and is equally suitable for marinades and salad dressings.

Use and Storage

Our oils are preserved in opaque packaging to protect them from light, which destroys the benefits contained in the oil. Best kept in a cool place away from heat. Consume before the Use By Date and within 3 months of opening the bottle.
