Olivetta Extra Virgin Olive Oil Delicate

Olivetta’s Delicate Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a monovarietal oil, that has been carefully crafted from the fruit of the Koroneiki olive tree. 

The Koroneiki cultivar produces small fruit with high-quality oil yield for a very low acidity level and ranks amongst the world’s finest olive oils.  A balanced combination of fragrant aromas and elegant, complex flavours it is ideal for dipping, salads and marinating.

The olives that produced this oil were grown in the ancient olive groves of Messinia near the town of Kalamata in the Peloponnese.  The combination of terroir and weather conditions for this harvest has produced an oil that is more delicate in nature. 

It is a celebration of the olive and all it can give.

Description

Harvested slightly later in the season, the oil is smooth and buttery.  Notably herbaceous.  Maintains green fruit undertones.  It has less bitter pungency than its Robust sister. Simply delicious.

What makes it Extra Virgin Olive Oil?

To achieve the highest level of quality, and to be called Extra Virgin, our EVOO meets a number of important criteria: It has a chemical composition with an acidity level of less than 0.8% as tested in the laboratory; it is cold extracted to preserve its taste and benefits, and it is taste tested to ensure it has no defects.  In addition, no chemicals are used in the production process.  It truly is the pure juice of the olive fruit.

Our oils are preserved in opaque packaging to protect it from light, which destroys the benefits contained in the oil.
