Olivetta’s Robust Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a monovarietal oil, that has been carefully crafted from the fruit of the Koroneiki olive tree. 

The Koroneiki cultivar produces small fruit with high-quality oil yield for a very low acidity level and ranks amongst the world’s finest olive oils.  With its rich fragrant aromas and elegant, complex flavours it is a multi-use oil perfect for every culinary occasion.

The olives that produced this oil were grown near Pylos in the Peloponnese, where the first written evidence about the production of olive was mentioned in Homer’s Odyssey.  This area has produced an oil that is more robust in nature, hence its enduring name.  Robust Extra Virgin Olive Oil is great for grilling, baking and frying.

To achieve the highest level of quality, and to be called Extra Virgin, our EVOO meets a number of important criteria: It has a chemical composition with an acidity level of less than 0.8% as tested in the laboratory; it is cold extracted to preserve its taste and benefits, and it is taste tested to ensure it has no defects.  In addition, no chemicals are used in the production process.  It truly is the pure juice of the olive fruit.

Our oils are preserved in opaque packaging to protect it from light, which destroys the benefits contained in the oil.
